SHPE changes lives by empowering the Hispanic community to realize its fullest potential and to impact the world through STEM awareness, leadership, access, support, and development.
SHPE’s vision is a world where Hispanics are highly valued and influential as the leading innovators, scientists, mathematicians, and engineers.
The University of Texas at San Antonio has accepted SHPE as one of their official organizations on campus to promote the recruitment and academic development of Hispanic, and Latin American students interested in pursuing careers in engineering. UTSA-SHPE will strive to maintain and support its members in developing academic excellence, leadership skills, and professional development.
With an amazing group of students, alumni, professionals, and sponsors, UTSA-SHPE encourages all of our members to attend national-level events to showcase their skills, talents, and personalities to employers around the world. This brings networking and experience opportunities not available elsewhere.
